While I was home this summer shooting weddings in Wisconsin, I was able to do a few engagement sessions for my clients who are getting married in 2024! One of my favorite shoots of this season was with Courtney & Joey, at Standing Rocks Park.

I always LOVE going to Standing Rocks - I used to race cross country there in high school, and it has gorgeous hills (that I used to dread running)! Courtney competed for a team in the neighboring town, which was cool to think that we'd been in the same place at the same time before without ever knowing each other! Being back home always gives me those "it's a small world" moments, where everybody knows everybody and the connections are endless. 

Anyways, this park is absolutely stunning during golden hour! The tall grass compliments the warm lighting, the hills make for a beautiful backdrop, and the sunset never disappoints. It's easily one of my favorite locations to shoot, & these two made it even better! Courtney & Joey were so much fun to laugh with and were so down to do every fun prompt I could think of (including laying in the grass, running, spinning, and so much more! Just wait til you see the sun in these images... the light leaks have my whole heart!
